The goal of this two-day workshop is to cover a wide range of current issues in macroeconomic theory and policy. The workshop will provide an ideal venue for those interested in presenting preliminary ideas and receiving comments from an eclectic group of researchers. We're aiming to have an open environment where new ideas could be freely exchanged.

To commemorate the 5th Annual Vienna Macroeconomic Conference, "starting" this year, the organizers decided to have the "Wallner's Razor" -- an award handed out to the workshop's most outstanding critic. The organizers also have decided that the inaugural recipient (retroactively) is Chris Wallner (sic)2007! Congratulations!
